A New York-based real estate company purchased the Northampton Shopping Center on Kerry Forest Parkway for $7.1 million.

Time Equities Inc. closed the deal on the 84,000-square-foot center whose tenants include Beef O’ Brady’s, Kinetics Health Club, Red Elephant and the UPS Store. The property is 61 percent leased, Director of National Retail Ami Ziff said.

The Dec. 30 sale represents Time Equities’ first retail purchase in Tallahassee. Plans for improving the property include creating prominent signage and minor improvements.
